Birding & Wildlife

Birding & Wildlife

One of the most amazing things to discover in Northern Ontario is the variety of birds and wildlife. Enter the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve, the largest of its kind in the world or visit Errington’s Wilderness Island to encounter some of the species found in the area. You can also get up close and personal with the many species of birds found in Northern Ontario. Whether you wish to stay in town, or head into the wilderness, you will find the vantage point you are looking for.

St. Marys River Rapids and Canadian Sault Locks

The Rapids represent a short stretch of the St. Marys River which drains Lake Superior into Lake Huron and the area is an excellent year round urban birding site.
