Just north of Sault Ste. Marie, you can paddle the sheltered waters of Batchawana Bay, Lake Superior. Batchawana Bay Provincial Park borders Lake Superior, approximately 65 km. (38 miles) north of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario and offers many things to see and places to paddle.
