Located just east of Sault Ste. Marie is the North Channel of Georgian Bay. The North Channel is known as one of the best freshwater boating and sailing areas in the world. The channel extends east past St. Joseph Island, divides Manitoulin Island from the mainland of Northern Ontario and whether you are boating or just sightseeing, there are many local marinas to utilize and explore.

Roberta Bondar Marina

Located within the city of Sault Ste. Marie, this marina offers a minimum water depth of 10 feet, 38 transient docks up to 44 feet, plus 450 feet of fully serviced dock available to accept larger vessels. The Roberta Bondar Marina is also a Canada Customs check-in point and is within walking distance of Sault Ste. Marie’s scenic downtown area.

Hilton Beach Marina

The Hilton Beach Marina is known as one of the most scenic on the Great Lakes and welcomes hundreds if not thousands of visiting boaters every summer. The marina offers 105 Docks, a maximum length of 80 feet, shore power, 10 foot draft, gas, diesel, propane and repair facilities for boats, engines and trailers.

Blind River’s marina offers amenities such as Internet access, a boaters lounge & eatery, water supply and 30 or 50 amp power. Many other luxuries are found here as well as boating necessities such as fuel, pumpouts, charts, launch ramps, storage, parking and repair facilities.
